QuickTime

Overview

Video plugin based on Apple's QuickTime technology. QuickTime is a popular standard for producing video for internet applications, due to the wide range of platforms that support QuickTime players.

Import

QuickTime import is handled by the DirectShow video plugin (the Windows DirectX system allows the import of a number of non-AVI video formats).

Export

The QuickTime plugin supports the compression of video by any installed QuickTime compression standard. This includes MJPEG, Cinepack, Indeo.

Audio export supports both 8 bit and 16 bit quality, as well as mono or stereo.

You may export video or audio or both in a QuickTime file. QuickTime files have the ".mov" file name extension.
